Kilimanjaro Trekking

Kilimanjaro is the most hiked mountain in Africa, and with good reason. From the moment you set foot in the park, you start to feel rejuvenated and 10 years younger. Parades of overlapping mountains surround you in astounding numbers. The headline park is the hiking experience it offers-as destined for the highest peak in Africa-Uhuru (5895 metres or 19340 ft). Its vast ecosystem features five vegetation zones with intricate river systems; forest zone, heatherzone, moorland, desert and snow zone.

There were two kinds of routes to take. The easy ones, and nerve-wracking types respectively. If you dont want much trouble, chose the former especially Machame. In the start, it is a lazy walk under the woods and over bridges with rivers from as far as the remaining glaciers at the top. The forest was quiet and moist. In the forest zone of the park, elephants wiggle their trunks in anticipation of various palatable vegetation.

On the whole, there is nothing tiring about the walk up the mountain. Why? The caretakers free you of the burden of carrying your weighty bags. This makes it effortlessly easy for you to reach the respective camps along the way up. They feature a collection of gorgeous wooden huts that are well insulated to shelter one from the dropping temperatures of the surrounding environment.

The height of the trees lessen as you gain altitude. The footpath are well maintained and thus less challenging to maneuver. In the dry season, they are dusty. Luckily, the wind is too calm to blow it (dust) in your face.

Whenever tired, you will take a rest. One of the biggest highlights is entering into the cloud zone. They looked like floating giant cotton balls.

When it comes to mountaineering, safety is everything. Your caretakers will pay extreme attention to your safety. You will be availed additional warm gear ahead of your ascent to Uhuru peak, the final lap of the hike.

Considering how steep its gradient was, this departure is planned for 4 am. That way, you can make it to your destination before the sun gets unbearably hot.

Reaching the crest of Uhuru peak is such an inspiration. You have to see it for yourself one day. We are just a call away whenever you are ready.
